Catherine Tresa is an actress who is mostly active in South Indian films like Tamil and Kannada films along with others. She was born on 10th September 1989 in Chennai and was brought up in Dubai as her family shifted to this country. She did her schooling in Dubai till Class 12 and then returned to India for her higher studies. She then attended St Joseph’s College in Bangalore and later tired her luck in the world of acting. While being in Dubai, she tried her luck in modeling and later when she came to Bangalore, she continued her modeling for brands like Chennai Silks, Nalli Silks, Fast Track, Deccan Chronicle, and Josco Jewellers.
She also appeared in Srikantadatta Wodeyar’s Maharaja Calendar and has walked on several ramp shows in Indian cities. Her career started in the year 2010 in Kannada movie called Shankar IPS with Duniya Vijay in 2010. The same year she got Malayalam film called The Thriller followed by Uppukandam Brothers: Back in Action. Some of her early movies include Vishnu Meenakshi, Godfather, Chammak Challo, Iddarammayilatho, Paisa, Madras, Errabus, Rudhramadevi, Kathakali, Kanithan and Sarrainodu to name a few.
Some of her recent movies released after 2017 include Kadamban, Goutham, Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, she then appeared in a song “A for Apple for the same movie. Soon she got another film Katha Nayagan, Kalakalappu 2, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven and Neeya 2. Some of her upcoming films include Aanenkilum Allenkilum, Aruvam, and Break up. These films would be soon releasing this year. She bagged a couple of awards including Best Debut Actress for her film Madras. Talking about her personal life, she is single and not willing to mingle as she is focussing on her career.
