Manav Vij is an actor, model and singer who hails from Firozpur, Punjab. He was born on 2nd Jan 1977 in Punjab and was raised at the same place. He is active both in TV and films apart from being seen in the web series as well. He did his primary and secondary education from Punjab later he completed his studies in homeopathy from Ludhiana Medical College to work as a doctor before entering the big and small screen as an actor. His interest in acting brought him to Mumbai to try his luck in the B Town.
With a bit of struggle, his good looks and physique helped him to bag a role in a movie called Shaheed-E-Azam playing the role of Sukhdev in 2002. His next film was a Punjani movie called Asa Nu Maan Watna Da in 2004 followed by two more movies Des Hoya Pardes, Mannat, Mini Punjab, Apni Boli Apna Des, Mummy Punjabi, Burrraahh Kartar, Sikander, Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar, and Punjab 1984. He then was back in the B Town with the films including Udta Punjab, Rangoon, Phillauri, Naam Shabana, Lucknow Central, Indu Sarkar and Brij Mohan.
Some of his recent films include Race 3, Khido Khundi (Punjabi), Andhadhun, Bharatand in the recent ones called Laal Kaptaan with Saif Ali Khan playing the role of Rehmat Khan. Besides, he also worked in small screen getting his break with Ekta Kapoor’s TV show called Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi playing Joydeep Sahil Virani along with two more shows Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke. He recently appeared in a ZEE5 based web series known as Parchhayee playing Chander in it. Talking about his personal life, he is married to Meher Vij the known actress in the small and big screen in 2009.
