Dhruv Sehgal is an actor and writer who hails from Delhi. He was born on 19th March 1990 in Delhi and brought up at this place only. He did his schooling from Delhi Public School, and later headed to London and continued his schooling from Stanley Technical High School for Boys and completed his college from Harris City Academy Crystal Palace, London. He then returned to India and joined Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune to pursue his masters in journalism.
After completing his studies, he got involved in filmmaking. He worked as an assistant director for a documentary called Baavra Mann in the year 2013 and later worked as an editor for I am Offended in the year 2015. He also got involved in making short films and one of the films that bagged the best award was Kunal. He bagged the Golden Gateway Dimensions Mumbai Award at the prestigious Mumbai Film Festival in the year 2016. He also worked as a writer and even got the chance to act in several comedy sketches including the shows like Confusing Things Girlfriends Say and Annoying Things Boyfriends Do for Filter Copy.
He also got the chance to work in the series known as Little Things with Mithila Palkar in 2016 and continued working with her for some time. He then remained the creator and writer of this how and later got nominated in the Indian Screenwriters Conference panel. Talking about his current project, he will be soon seen in the web series Afsos all set to stream at Amazon Prime in the year 2020. Talking about the awards, he bagged the Best Storyteller of The Year at MTV-IWMBuzz Digital Awards 2019 and the Best Actor (Comedy/Romance) and Best Writing Series (Comedy/Romance) at Critics’ Choice Shorts and Series Awards 2019.
