John Abraham says – “I don’t know whether it has evolved, I know it has changed. For some it may be evolution, for me it’s a change. It’s a different trajectory; you can’t put a finger on what the change is.” About the definition of patriotism, the he thinks it starts with little things rather than being jingoistic. John Abraham further adds – “It’s very important that the secular fabric of the country should remain intact.”

When asked if he finds it difficult to express his opinions as a celebrity in the country, the actor said that as a celebrity, they can express themselves as they have got a platform, but one must also be prepared for the vitriol, negativity and toxicity that comes with it. John Abraham says – “If you are well prepared to take that, you must voice your opinion. On the other hand, there are issues close to my heart. There is no point in me voicing my opinion on every issue in the country so that I am learned and knowledgeable.”
He states – “We can’t be flagbearers for every issue, and public should not assume that we necessarily need to be that for all issue. As long as we all understand, that we are also limited like every other citizen of the country, and not endowed with superpowers, and then it’s all fine.”
