Saba Azad is a popular singer, actress and musician working in Hindi Cinema. She was born and brought up in New Delhi. Since her childhood, she was associated with a theatre group called Jana Natya Manch wherein she got the chance to work with veterans like Habib Tanvir, Hashmi, MK Raina, NK Sharma and GP Deshpande. She is formally trained in several forms of dance including ballet, Odissi, Latin and Jazz and other modern forms. She has travelled a lot with Odissi guru called Smt Kiran Segal wherein he performed at a number of countries like Nepal, Canada and England.
Saba Azad career in Bollywood started with the film called Dil Kabbadi by Anil Sharma in opposite to Rahul Bose, which was an average at box office in the year 2008. Yet the film offered him other movie called Mujhse Fraaaandship Karoge, which was a Pretiy Sen and Y Film production venture in opposite Saqib Saleem, Tara D’Souza and Nishant Dahiya. Azad then went ahead to form her own theatre company called The Skins in the year 2010 wherein she directed her first play called Lovepuke, which did decent over the NCPA’s experimental theatre in 2010. Apart from films, she also did a couple of commercial ads for the brands like Sunsilk, Kit Kat, Nescafe and Vodafone along with being involved in several print campaigns for brands like Amway, Westside and Johnson & Johnson.
Saba Azad career in music and songs started in the year 2013 wherein she sung the songs for the film Nautanki Sala singing the songs like Dhak Dhak Karne Laga and Dil Ki Toh Lag Gayi, which was composed by Mikey McCleary. She also was involved in Dhoom series for the Dhoom Anthem, which was composed by Raghav Sachar. In the year 2015, she sang the song Calcutta Kiss for the film called Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, which was composed by Madboy/Mink. As far as her personal life is concerned, she is relationship with Naseeruddin shah’s son Imaad Shah who is also a musician and actor.
