Nandini Srikar is a popular Indian singer and guitarist apart from a music composer. She hails from South India wherein she was born and brought up. She learnt classical music, and started playing veena at the age of three years. She then learnt other instruments like guitar and sitar as well in parallel with her education. She went to college to her graduation and masters in Mathematics from South India and later headed to a software company to work as a full time software programmer. However, she kept pursuing music as her hobby but when Hariharan heard her singing one of the programs in 1997, he suggested her to take singing as her career. In fact, he also asked Vidyasagar to hire this girl for her upcoming movie Uyirodu Uyiraga.

This therefore started her professional career in playback singing. She was seen in a duet with the singer KK in a song called I Love You, which become an instant hit. She then quit her job to focus in her career of music and was seen collaborating with people like Trilok Gurtu, Wally Badarou and Ranjit Barot. Soon, she started writing jingles and in 2001 she was seen in one of the music albums of Mahmood Khan called Panah. In the year 2008, she got the chance to work with the director Dhruv Ghanekar for a number of songs in the film called Drona. She then embarked with her debut album called Beete Pal, which was released in the year 2011. She composed, produced, programmed and even performed in the songs. The album had different songs with different instrument including guitar, bass, drums, etc, which turned popular.

With a gap in Bollywood, Nandini Srikar entered again in B Town with the song called Bhare Naina, which even gave her critical acclaim in GIMA Awards featuring her the best playback singer of the year 2012. She then was seen in singing Dil Mera Muft Ka for the film Agent Vinod in 2012 for Vishal, she then went on to sing the song Duaa for Shangai movie followed by embarking with a devotional album called Ganaraj Adhiraj. She then went to South India to sing a number of other songs, which kept on increasing her popularity in playback singing later giving her a good foundation in B Town and other industry along with different tags of playsinger, guitarist and composer. Some of her recent songs for the films include Queen and Runh (Marathi) and Club 60.
