Jonita Gandhi is a known India Canadian singer who sings in a number of languages including Hindi, Punjabi, English, Tamil and Telugu. She is regarded as Nightingale of Toronto, Canada. Music has been heart and soul since her childhood. She was born in New Delhi but shifted to Toronto with her parents and raised up there under the impact of Canadian culture apart from being connected to the Indian culture as well. Since her childhood, she learnt dancing and singing as she comes from a professional musical family. Her father was as musician himself who encouraged her to pursue her dreams in this field. Apart from her music, she did her BHSC and HBA at the known Richard Ivey School of Business from the University of Western Ontario.

Jonita Gandhi started her singing when she was barely four years of age and then went on to pursue her career in music. Her successful life in music started when she entered into university wherein she won the first position in different singing and music competition including the NATS at the known York University. She also won the title of Asian Idol in 2011 at the same university in Toronto. She sings in different genre including Sufi, Western Classical, Soft Rock, RnB, Bollywood and Pop. In the year 2012, she with her collaborative efforts and was putting her song Pani Da Rang on YouTube, which garnered 2.7 million of people all across the world.

Her work was appreciated by B Town celebrities including A R Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan, Salim Suliaiman and Ayushmann Khurana. Her band called SQS Project helps him gain recognition in B Town and since then she got her chance to sing in Bollywood. She also performed at a number of places in Canada including BC with her different songs. She then participated in a number of concerts with Sonu Nigam and travelled toa number of countries like US, UK, Russia and Caribbean. After shifting to India in 2013, she got the chance to sing for the Shah Rukh Khan movie called Chennai Express with Vishal Shekhar. She then worked with AR Rahman for the Imtiyaz Ali’s movie Hollywood.
