Shreya Narayan is an actor, writer and social worker. She was born and brought up in Muzaffarpur, Bihar and is also known for being the grandniece of Dr. Rajendra Prasad (the first president of India). She rose to popularity with her role of Mahua in the film SahebBiwiAur Gangster by Tigmanshu Dhullia. She did her schooling and college from Muzaffarpur. She started her career with the film EK Dastak portraying economic crimes wherein she played the character of IRS Officer.
Shreya Narayan then did Knock Out in 2009 followed by Kuch Kariye and the same year did Rajneeti and Tanu Weds Manu, however, she got recognition with the film Saheb BiwiAur Gangster wherein the portrayed the role of Mahua in the Tigmanshu Dhulia. Some of her movies include Rockstar, Prem Mayee, Samrat & Co and Super Nani working with the veteran actress of B Town Rekha where she played the mentally disturbed girl called Divya. As said, she is also a writer, she wrote lyrics for a number of songs like Sharm Laaj for Soumik Sen, which was directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Gulab Gang and it was shot on Madhuri Dixit.
As far as her role in TV screen is concerned, she was seen playing the character called Kismet who is an obsessive girl along with vengeful streak that was directed by Naresh in the YRF called Yeh DIllagi aired at Sony TV. In the year 2015, she produced her first film called Wedding Anniversary, which stars Nana Patekar and Mahie Gill. In 2015, she was seen portraying Dui Bon and was appreciated for her performance aired at Epic Channel. As far as her activism is concerned for social cause, she was active in the Bihar Flood Relief Mission with filmmaker PrakashJha during the Kosi river floods. Shreya Narayan written a couple of articles on Bihar and economical issues that was published in leading journal called Indian Economist.
