Jim Sarbh is a theatre and film actor and film director. He was born on 27th August 1987 in Bombay in a Parsi family. He did his schooling from American School of Bombay, while he did his college from Emory University, Atlanta USA in psychology. When he completed his studies, he got attached to a couple of theatre groups doing a number of plays. For his contribution in Indian theatres, he was chosen for the Forbes India 30 under the 30 list in 2015. His father was into shipping industry hence was seen moving from one place to the other including Australia and other places during his life. He moved to Australia with his family when he was barely three years old and later returned to Mumbai and did his schooling at this place only.

After completing his Psychology, he worked with the theatre group called Alliance Theatre in US (Atlanta) for a year or so working as a literary intern and thus carried out a show all across this place called The Show The Breakup, Ice Glen and Tennis in Nablus which gave him the Major Supporting Role Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Awards. After returning to Mumbai in 2012, he was seen doing a number of plays including Ok Tata Bye Bye, Limbo, Death of a Salesman, Gates to India Song, Cock, Noises Off, The Glass Menagerie, Eat! and Bull, OK Tata Bye Bye, Limbo, Gates to India Song, Death of a Salesman, Noises Off, Eat and Bull, The Glass Menagerie and Noises Off.

In the year 201, Sarbh was seen acting three feature movies, Neerja by Ram Madhvani Yashodhara by Jyoti Patil, the short films called the Mama’s Boys by Akshat Verma and 3 ½ Takes by Daria Ghai, which was followed by another known as Like Summer Like Rain by Gouri Dutt. He was seen performing on stage in Vickram Kapadia’s The Merchant of Venice, Rajat Kapoor’s What is Done, is Done and Kalki Koechlin’s The Living Room. Ajeeb Ashiq by Natasha Mendonca was the feature film by Sarbh which was even premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2 February 2016.
