This actor is known both in Hindi and Marathi movie world. He is born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from Shree Ram Welfare Society’s High School based in Andheri in Mumbai. After his schooling, he started with stage shows to pursue her dreams of acting. He is married to his girlfriend Deepti who is a Clinical Pyschologist. She works in corporate concern and school students. He met his wife when he visited at her college in a program, wherein she was active in the organizing group working as general secretary of the group taking care of the festival. Since then the two remained in touch and finally got married.

Wiki : Shreyas Talpade career started working with couple of Marathi soap operas and doing several shows all across Maharashtra. He then got the chance to enter Zee TV with the soap opera called Woh in 1997 wherein he was seen in the lead role. After working with several Marathi serials and few Hindi ones, he finally got the recognition with his role of Iqbal in the movie with the same title, which was directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Here he played the character of a deaf and dump young boy aspiring to be a cricketer. His performance and the movie was very well appreciated by both audience and critics. He then got his next movie called Dor, which again gave him applauds. Later he got the chance to do a number of other movies including Apna Sapna Money Money and the blockbuster movie of Farah Khan- Om Shanti Om with SRK.

Apart from acting, he also entered into filmmaking in Marathi Cinema, wherein he produced a Marathi movie called Sanai Chaughade, which was released in 2007. Some of his recent movies include Welcome To Sajjanpur by Shyam Bengal, Golmal Returns, Click, Paying Guests, Will You Marry Me, Help. The other Marathi movie, which he produced was Poshter Boyj under his own banner called Affluence Movies. He has just released the movie with the veteran director of Bollywood while Farah Khan had a cameo in his movie. He is currently working on two movies – Detective Raj and the sequel of Dostana by Karan Johar.
