Jisshu Sengupta is an actor, model, anchor, cricketer, and producer. He was born on 15th March 1977 in Calcutta. He did his schooling from Julien Day School, while he did his college from Heramba Chandra College completing his degree in Economics. Once he completed his studies and started working in an ad agency. However, his career in acting came with Bengali TV show – Mahaprabhu and got fame with it. He then did his Bengali film debut with the film Priyojon in the year 1999. Since then it was no looking back as she got many TV shows in regional TV. His first Hindi TV show called Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero playing Sisir Sharat Bose. Nephew of Subhas Chandra Bose in the year 2005.
He then entered into Bollywood movie called Barfi playing Ranjit Sengupta in a special appearance with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. He then got another film in Bollywood film Mardaani playing Dr. Bikram Roy. His next film was Piku playing Syed Afroz in it. He is recently seen in the film Manikarnika playing Gangadhar Rao Newalkar. His next Bollywood film is Devidas Thakur, which is Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. He also did a Telugu film NTR playing L.V. Prasad.
He also plays cricket and has remained active in CCL playing captain in the Bengal Tiger team. He also remained the part of Bengal Cricket League in 2015, which was his brainchild. Besides, cricket, he is also active in Marathon and regularly participates in it. In the media, he is visible and was seen in Timex Celebex in 2015 while also appeared in the Bong Calendar by n Dabboo Ratnani. He also was present at the Times Food Guide 2017 Event at ITC Sonar. Talking about his personal life, he is married to Nilanjana Sharma and has two daughters. He will be seen in his debut web series called Skyfire.
