Sai Pallavi is a South Indian film actress who hails from Coimbatore and was born on 9th May 1992. She did her schooling from Avila Convent School, followed by Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgia doing her MBBS from it. However, when she returned to India, she ventured her life in the field of acting. She was well versed in a number of languages like Tamil, Badaga, Telugu, Malayalam, and English to name a few. She was very fond of dance and hence got trained in various forms of dance as her mother was also a great dancer. She performed on stage apart from different places including ETV.
She started working young as a child actor starting in the year 2005 in the film Kasthuri Maan followed by Dhoom in 2008. He then was then seen in the movie Premam playing the role of Malar, which even bagged the “Best Female Debut” awards and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In the year 2017, she got her next film Diya released in Telugu and Tamil and later she did Maari 2 opposite Dhanush. Her debut in Telugu film came with Fidaa opposite Sekhar Kammula. She then got another AL Vijay film called Diya, which was a Tamil and Tamil.
Her other two films include Maari 2 by Balaji Mohan followed by Malayalam film – Athiran playing Nithya in it. Her films NGK and Virata Parvam 1992 that remain in the post-production phase. She bagged a couple of awards for her debut film Premam getting Asianet Film Awards Special Jury Award and New Sensation in Acting along with Filmfare Awards getting the Best Female Debut – South, SIIMA Film Awards, Vanitha Film Awards an dIBNLive for the Best Southern Debut. She also got CPC Cine Awards, Behindwoods Gold Medal and SIIMA Film Awards as best actress for the film Kali. She also did a couple of ads and recently was in news for rejecting hefty amount for the Fairness ad.
