Ajith Kumar is a South Indian actor who was born on 1st May 1971 in Hyderabad. He did his schooling Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School but failed in his 10th class to be a dropout. He wanted to be the part of a creative field; hence when he turned 19, he got the chance to be in a musical song of En Veedu En Kanavar in 1990. At the age of 20, he was chosen by a film production company known as Lakshmi Productions, to act in their movies. However, the death of the director of his film shelved the project, which led him to work in a small budget Telugu movie called Prema Pustakam in the year 1992. This was his first and last venture in Telugu film industry.

He then got his first Tamil film called Amaravathi. The newcomer Selva directed it, and it remained a moderate success. He was bad in his voice that led him to get a voice maker training.
