Abrar Qazi is an actor in films and TV who hails from Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir. He was born and brought up in Kashmir. He completed his schooling from Tyndale Biscoe School, Srinagar, and later completed his graduation from Jammu University. He also got enrolled in the Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora, J&K and completed his master’s Media and Journalism. Abrar was good in acting since his childhood and used to participate in school plays and cultural activities.
He started making short films and documentary after his studies and later relocated to Delhi to continue the same. He started his career working as a backstage manager at a theatre group in Delhi and also got the chance to attend a couple of acting workshops to brush up his skills. He worked in different profiles like graphic designer and editor with a production company based in Srinagar. However, soon he was spotted by the makers of the film Laila Majnu and got the role of Zaid in it as the film was made in Kashmir only.
This opened the gate in films and TV and his next venture was a TV show called Gathbandhan where he played a local goon from the Mumbai suburb. He also bagged a role in a web series called The Family Man as Kareem working with Manoj Bajpayee in Amazon Prime. He then was seen in the TV show called – Yeh Hai Chahatein opposite Sargun Kaur aired at Star Plus in 2019. As far as his personal life is concerned, he is single and not dating anyone. He likes photography, traveling and sketching, while he is an avid dog lover.
