It is rare to see Australian origin actresses in Bollywood, Pallavi Sharda is among one such film and theatre actor and a dancer, who is well trained in south Indian dances including Bharatha Natyam. She is born and brought up in Perth, Australia to a known family, who’s origin happens to be from New Delhi. Both her parents happens to be the professors of Computer Science in Victoria University based at Perth, Australia. Her mother and father both are the IIT alumni and have done their research in engineering and science getting their Phds from Australian universities. Sharda was born and brought in Australia in the eighties and mostly brought up at the north western suburbs of Australia. She did her schooling from Lowther Hall , while did her Mass Communication graduation followed by Law and Literature from University of Melbourne with distinction. However, in order to pursue her modeling career, she headed to Mumbai in the year 2010.

Wiki : Pallavi Sharda started her journey in Bollywood with a cameo role in My Name is Khan the Karan Johar’s movie in 2010. While the same year, she won the title of Miss India Australia held in March 2010 in Sydney. Her next venture was the comedy drama called Dus Tola in the same year, wherein the played the character of Geeta a dance teacher in the village in opposite to Manoj Bajpai. Though the movie didn’t bring laurels over the box office, however, her performance in the said movie garnered positive response. Her next release was the movie called Walkaway, which was an Indo American movie released the very same year of 2010 all over the United States. The year 2011 gave her the movie called Love Breakup Zindagi.

The very next year, she got the chance to work in the theatrical musical film called Taj Express getting the lead role. The movie was directed by Shruti Merchant, which was choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. He also got the chance to work in an Australian movie called Save Your Legs, which was a comedy film released way back in 2013. Her first movie in Bollywood in the lead character came in the form of Besharam by Abhinav Kashyap whom she played against Ranbir Kapoor. She was applauded by the audience and critics for the performance for her violent dancing and screen presence. Her upcoming movie includes Hawaizaada, which is will be hitting next year.
